Our Staff

With over 150 years of experience combined, the Staff of Niigaanaki Day Care Centre offer educational activities and learning moments using a variety of methods to capture the child's attention and encourage learning.

Executive Director

Welcome to our Child Care Program! It’s nice to meet you!

I am the Executive Director and have been here since 2011.

I’ve been in the field of child care since 1988 and have served in many different roles such as ECE III, Supervisor, College Instructor, and child program development. I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and a degree in Developmental Studies from the University of Winnipeg.

I love Wire Fox Terriers, Razzle (my WFT), my family, my very tall nephews, music, dancing (I was a tap dancer/teacher for over 30 years!), sewing, art, crafts,

woodworking, building, researching anything and everything, learning,

Hockey (Jets), Football (Bombers), F1 and Indy car racing, tennis, baseball, golf, watching rugby and soccer, Maui, the ocean, humpback whales, raccoons and otters, gardening, learning about cultures from around the world and oh, observing children learn! One of the most amazing happenings to witness is when a child has an “aha” moment.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors are parents and members of the child care centre who oversee the financial and policy development on a 2 year term appointment.

There is a minimum of 5 directors needed per regulations.

Early Childhood Educators

Our amazing Team of educators include experienced members and those who are new to the field. We also have an amazing group of support staff who help keep things running smoothly on a daily basis.
